Stephen Bamidele Dada is a young, vibrant and affordable community development expert with special interest in the nurturing of social and economic activities of rural and semi rural areas of Nigeria using the community-driven development (CDD) approaches. His main target is to enhance the sustainability of community owned projects in these areas via strengthening them to become comfortable players in the local, national and global economy.
As a development agent with focus for the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), he has over the years linked development facilitators such as Governmental Organizations, NGOs, Local Government Areas, Private Voluntary Organizations, CSOs, Faith-based Institutions, Membership-Based Associations and Grassroots Organizations with their stakeholders and partners in selected areas Nigeria. Periodically, he relates with these communities, report on development, explore new stakeholders, facilitate the delivery of development assistance and assist in impact monitoring amongst others. He holds a Bachelor degree in Biological Science with a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Private Partnership (in View). He has attended various training courses, workshops and conferences on Local Economic Development (LED) approaches, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), Rapid Market Appraisal (RMA), and Basic Organizational Development (OD). Others include but not limited to the following; CEFE methodology, sustainable livelihood Management plan, Needs and impact assessments, action research, situational analysis, Proposal Preparation and Development etc. Over the years, Stephen has worked in over sixteen (16) Local Government Areas of Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara and other States in Nigeria. As a trainer, consultant, facilitator and instructor, he has worked with Local Governments, NGOs, and International organizations such as The Carter Foundation/Global 2000, German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), Centre for the Upliftment of Rural Areas (CEFURA), and FADAMA among others. He is currently the Program Director of Centre for the Upliftment of Rural Areas (CEFURA), an NGO based in Kwara State. Stephen’s professional skills include Organizational Development, Youth re-orientation, stakeholders’ identification, enterprise mapping, Logic modeling, impact monitoring and evaluation. Others include proposal preparation and development, Facilitation skills and Report writing etc. Stephen is an inspirational speaker, who enjoys spending time doing social and volunteer work at the grassroots. He likes playing the game of Chess and Scrabble. |
